Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies Wedira uses. For the processing of personal data, please refer to the Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files saved by the browser during navigation; similar technologies include the browser's local storage (localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB). They can be “technical” (necessary for the site to function), “analytics” (to measure how the site is used) or “profiling” (for advertising or tracking purposes).
2. Cookies used by Wedira
Wedira uses essential technical cookies and local storage necessary for the site to function and, only with your consent, a site usage analytics tool (PostHog, servers in the European Union). We do not use profiling cookies or advertising tracking tools, and we do not record your screen.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| wedira-auth-access-token, wedira-auth-refresh-token | Essential technical (cookie) | Keeps the user logged in within the account area. They cannot be read by the page's scripts and are deleted when you log out | wedira-auth-access-token: until the login session expires. wedira-auth-refresh-token: 30 days |
| nx_lang | Technical (cookie) | Remembers the language chosen to read an invitation | 12 months |
| nx_ui_lang | Technical (cookie) | Remembers the language chosen for the Design Studio and the account area | 12 months |
| nx_currency | Technical (cookie) | Remembers the price currency chosen by the user | 12 months |
| wedira-cookie-consent | Technical (localStorage) | Stores the choice made on the cookie banner: analytics accepted or essential cookies only | Persistent, until the choice is changed with “Cookie preferences” or cleared from the browser |
| wedira-studio-wedding-draft-*, wedira: | Technical (localStorage) | Keeps the invitation draft you are preparing in the Design Studio on your device, so it is not lost before saving, and remembers which plan features have already been shown | Until the event is saved or the browser data is cleared |
| wedira-studio-media-resume, wedira-studio-damigella-media, wedira: | Technical (IndexedDB, sessionStorage) | Keeps the photos and videos chosen in the Design Studio on your device while you log in, so they are there when you return | Until they are restored after logging in |
| nx-envelope-opened: | Technical (sessionStorage) | Remembers small interface states during the visit: invitation envelope already opened, selected element after a language change, Design Studio notices | Until the tab is closed |
| ph_* (PostHog) | Analytics, only with consent (cookie, localStorage, sessionStorage) | Measures the pages visited, where visitors come from and the type of device, to improve the product. It contains a random browser ID, the visit ID and, if you are logged in, the internal ID of your account (never your name or email) | Cookie: 12 months from the last update. localStorage: persistent. sessionStorage: until the tab is closed. Everything is deleted when you withdraw consent |
PostHog analytics tools are never loaded on invitation pages, on RSVP responses or in the organiser's dashboard, and they receive no guest data. On the server side, only the fact that an RSVP response was sent is recorded, with the event code, with no name and no content of the response.
Regardless of consent, PostHog records the key steps of the service on the server side, meaning with no cookies or other data saved on your device (for example event created, payment completed, RSVP response sent), with no name or email, but with an internal ID if you are logged in. Details and the legal basis are in the Privacy Policy.
3. Managing your preferences
Essential technical cookies and storage do not require consent. Analytics tools (PostHog) are activated only if you choose “Accept analytics” on the cookie banner, which offers the “Essential only” choice with equal prominence. Declining does not limit your use of Wedira in any way.
You can change your mind at any time with the “Cookie preferences” button on this page, which reopens the banner: withdrawing consent stops the collection of analytics and deletes the PostHog data saved in your browser. You can also manage or delete cookies through your browser settings; disabling technical cookies may, however, affect the site's correct functioning.
4. Changes
Should further third-party tools be introduced in the future, this policy will be updated and, where required by law, new consent will be requested before they are activated.
